GR Northern Brewer
Northern Brewer in Hallertau is very German in character. It has some similarity to US or British grown Noerthern Brewer, but is more floral and less rough. Recommnended for bittering German largers, but could be used experimentally for aroma/flavor in German or American lagers. Substitues: Any of the Hallertau varieties or US Northern Brewer.

Trade Perception A true dual purpose hop with moderate bittering potential and excellent flavor/aroma characteristics.
Released in the early 1970's with relatively high alpha acids for its time. Its excellent flavor properties ensured its continued survival after the release of the higher alpha acids variety Wye Target.
