A make it and take it class! Leave class with an information booklet, kombucha SCOBY, half-gallon brewing vessel, and make your own kombucha in class to take home. Not familiar with SCOBY? It is a symbiotic colony of bacteria and yeast that is used to make a healthy fermented tea beverage.
Taught by Josh Hensen, an urban farmer, trained chef and a disciple of fermentation. As part owner of Fermenti Artisan, Josh creates tasty sauerkrauts, condiments, kefir sodas and kombuchas. You may have had the pleasure of tasting these delicious products at local farmers markets or at their City Market stand.
