Give Your Yeast The bEST Conditions

Achieve professional-grade fermentation results with the Fercubator Basic—a temperature-controlled fermentation chamber engineered by Brewolution for brewers who demand precision and repeatability. This innovative system allows you to heat or cool your fermentation environment from 32° F to 155° F (when at room temperature), giving you total control over yeast activity, flavor profile, and attenuation.

Its ultra-quiet fan evenly distributes temperature around your fermenter—never directly on it—ensuring balanced fermentation from start to finish.

Cooling/Heating Unit

The heart of the Fercubator Basic is its advanced cooling/heating unit, designed to maintain your fermenter at precisely the temperature you set—whether you’re chilling a crisp lager or ramping up a high-temp ale. At a typical room ambient of 68° F, it can lower the internal temperature all the way to 32° F or raise it up to 155° F.

The controller also has a built-in fail safe to handle power outages. In the event the controller loses power, it remembers all your settings and will restart itself back to normal once power is restored without intervention from you.

It addition to these great features, you can purchase additional cooling/heating units and have them installed in the same Fercubator. This results in faster temperature adjustments.

Temperature Adjustment

The Fercubator is designed to cool and heat at a carefully adjusted level with a focus on creating the best conditions for the yeast and the beer. To avoid stressing the yeast or even killing it, the Fercubator is designed to create a controlled and adapted temperature adjustment. The stable temperature and adjustment also ensure that the yeast does not go dormant. These times were tested on 6.6 gallons of water sitting at room temperature (~68 degrees F).

  • From 68° F  → 41° F | 24 to 48 hours
  • From 68° F  → 32° F | 48 to 72 hours
  • From 68° F  → 104° F | 8 to 12 hours
  • From 122° F  → 68° F | > 24 hours

Consistent Temperature

The built-in fan is designed to circulate the air around the yeast tank instead of directly onto it. This ensures a uniform temperature throughout the unit, and unwanted very direct temperature adjustments in a limited area are avoided. This creates the best conditions for the yeast, and the most optimal conditions for the beer.

Fercubator vs. Glycol

The Fercubator's power consumption is minimal, and significantly less than a Glycol cooler, which uses up to 950 Watts. The Fercubator's consumption at maximum is 80 Watt, and in standby only 1 Watt.

The Fercubator is also much cheaper to buy than a Glycol cooler. Furthermore, you have no risk of glycol or leakage in your beer. The Fercubator can also both cool and heat and requires no maintenance.

Expansion Module

Additional expansion modules can be purchased for the Fercubator so that it can be adapted for most size fermenters. Each expansion module has a height of 8.6 in, and can also be paired with additional cooling/heating units to help improve the efficiency of the temperature control process.
