Blackprinz Malt from Briess is a superior bitterless malt! While many debittered malts have a majority (but not all!) of the husk removed, they can still add a certain amount of bitterness to beer. Not so with Blackprinz! It is made with barley that is completely stripped of its husk material, and can be used as a 1 to 1 replacement for debittered black malts. Blackprinz provides a subtle, smooth roasted character and dark color without astringency, leading to a very delicate, clean flavor. Perfect in any recipe that calls for debittered malt, or when wanting to add darkness and roasted character without bitterness and astringency.
