This malt is kilned very lightly and retains a lot of grain flavor and fermentability. As such, it if most often used as a base in lagers, such as light lagers and pilsners, festbiers and bocks. However, it can be used to make excellent American, English and Belgian style beers as well. With a very light color contribution, this malt gives you a base wort with a light yellow tint.
