Weyermann malts their Bohemian floor malted pilsner in a traditional floor malting facility. Using Bohemian spring barley, they have created a superior product with a full range of traditional Bohemian flavors and aromas, which have been described as earthy and rich. While this malt may be most often used in traditional Bohemian pilsners, it is suited for use in all lagers and ales. Because of the traditional malting schedule this malt undergoes, it is slightly undermodified when compared with modern malts. However, what it loses in modification, it more than makes up for in character. Try some for a truly unique beer!
