White Labs' Pilsner Lager Yeast is purportedly from the premier Pilsner producing brewery in the Czech Republic. As such, it is a great yeast for use in the production of European and Bohemian-style lagers, classic American pilsners and Czech pilsners, beers that are crisp and clean, with less of a sweetness and more of a refreshing dryness to them. Brewers report excellent results with this yeast, producing clean and clear pilsners with this beer. It is known as a slow starter that can take awhile to take off and finish, but the results of using this yeast properly are well worth the effort!.
