Traminette is a white grape hybridized from the Gewurztraminer grape that was bred to grow well in Indiana’s climate. It is extremely versatile and can be made into a wine that can be extremely dry to sweet and everything in between. We have paired with a local vineyard and will have Traminette juice in mid-September. The juice is $18/gallon and is available on a pre-order basis, so make sure to reserver yours today!

The Blichmann boys are taking the BrewEasy on the road and their first stop is Great Fermentations Indianapolis on Saturday, September 20th from 11-12. This is a Julia Childs style brew demo with three BrewEasys set up to show you each of the steps in quick succession. See the gas fired and electric BoilCoil versions of the BrewEasy in action and get expert advice from the innovators themselves.

For our Sept. Friday Night Club, we’ll be hosting Cesar Marron, one of three winners of the 2013 Sam Adams Long Shot homebrew competition. Cesar will discuss the Grätzer style, his winning experience at Sam Adams and the brewery he is opening in Chicago.
Because Cesar can’t be in two places at once, the Avon FNC will be on THURSDAY, September 11th from 5-7 PM. Stop by and visit!
Great Fermentations’ Friday Night Club (FNC) is an informal gathering of fermentation enthusiasts on the second Friday of each month. Both Great Fermentations’ locations provide a location for beer, wine, and cheese makers to get together with others who share their interests and to learn from each other. Because of the commonality of fermentation, you won’t leave without meeting several new friends!
